RedCat: Natural Products and Related Redox Catalysts: Basic Research and Applications in Medicine and Agriculture (www.redcat-itn.eu) The “RedCat” Initial Training Network comprises ten partners and eight associated partners from Universities, Research Institutes and Companies from five European countries. It addresses current and emerging issues in Medicine and Agriculture, such as the need for disease-preventive antioxidants for an ageing population, antibiotics against drug-resistant bacteria and sustainable plant protection for a healthy and ecologically acceptable agriculture of the future. Ph.D. Positions (Early Stage Researchers) 36 months Post Doctoral Positions (Experienced Researcher) 20 months
ESR: The ESR must be within 4 years of having received the qualification enabling them to register for a Ph.D either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the initial training activities are provided (“70% host”). Therefore, this position is open to candidates graduating this summer or within the last 4 years. ER: Must have at least 4 but not more than 5 years of research experience (full-time equivalent) after having graduated (e.g. in Industry), or, have gained their Ph.D. less than 5 years ago. The same nationality criteria as for an ESR apply. Please see web site for countries where positions are available. In Exeter within the Biocatalysis Centre together with members of the Peninsula Medical School there will be one PhD position and one postdoc.
