| Exeter University has a History
with Citizenship programme. Trainees spend equal amounts of time
on each area and are encouraged to make links between the two
subjects. The Citizenship Handbook
gives details of the day to
day programme. Here trainees can also access course
readings, including recent reports, other relevant articles
and GCSE syllabuses and miscellaneous course
documents.
We are also keen to keep
everyone up to date with
relevant conferences and events (see below).
We are seeking to support
practising teachers as well as our own trainees by developing
downloadable teaching materials
for the delivery of Citizenship and providing as many links as
we can to other useful web
sites. Some of these provide resources
and/or guidance. Others provide subject
information for access in the classroom or lesson
preparation.
