Resources

In this area of History Resource you will find a growing bank of schemes of work, lesson plans and ancillary materials for the teaching of history at secondary level. These have been created by SELL staff and students, as well as practising teachers. If you want to contribute ideas that have worked for your classes please contact our Webmaster.

Most of these resources originate as paper materials. These can be viewed as .pdf files in Acrobat Reader (if you don't have the latter follow the link to get a free download).  Alternatively they can be downloaded directly as zipped Word files. For this you will need a program such as Winzip in order to 'unzip' the files.

In the ICT area you will also find HTML webs, targeted at solving an historical mystery or understanding a specific decision point in history. These can be downloaded as .zip files.
