Homestay Accommodation
If you are studying at INTO University of Exeter for one, two or three terms, you can stay with a local host in homestay accommodation. Increasing numbers of INTO University of Exeter students are requesting homestay because it is one of the best ways of practising their English with native speakers and experiencing life in a British household.
You will have your own single, study bedroom living as a member of the household, eating your meals with your host(s) and sharing the living room with them in the evenings and at weekends. Your host will provide your breakfast and evening meal during the week and all meals at weekends. Laundry facilities, heating and lighting are included in the homestay fee.
These are some of the things that students have said about homestay:
We are overseas students here and so far from home. A good host family is very important to us. They are so kind and the students who’ll stay here can experience traditional English life!
I enjoyed living with them. I am shy and my host family understood that. When it was my birthday I was given a present. It was a book about The Beatles. I would recommend my host family.
INTO University of Exeter makes every effort to ensure that you are happy in your accommodation. We regularly inspect the accommodation that our hosts are offering and ask each student to complete an evaluation form at the end of their stay.
The Homestay Fee is currently £91.00 per week. This will rise to £98 from 1st April 2006. There is a non-returnable Homestay Administration Fee of £50.00 which must be paid when applying for Homestay Accommodation. An application form and further information will be sent to you when you firmly accept a place on a course.
For further details please contact the Accommodation Co-ordinator at INTO University of Exeter.
