Dr Yolanda PlumleyReader in Medieval Music and Culture email: y.m.plumley@exeter.ac.uk Yolanda Plumley studied Music at Exeter University. Her PhD (1991), on the language of late medieval French music, was finished in France. She returned to Exeter briefly as a temporary lecturer in Music in 1992-3 before joining the Music Department at University College Cork, Ireland, where she lectured until 2004. In 2002-3, she held a research fellowship in Florence at Villa i Tatti, Harvard University's Centre for Italian Renaissance Studies. In March 2005, she took up her appointment as full-time Director of the Centre for Medieval Studies at Exeter. In June 2006, she was awarded a major research grant by the Arts and Humanities Research Council for a three-year reserach project that begins in January 2007 (see under Research for more details).
