Psychogenic lesions in narcissistic disorders. A study examining the neural correlates of relating in normal subjects. In order to identify participants pattern of relating they will complete a Q sort before scanning and construct a narrative of a recent relational episode in which they related in this way. Pictures representing their two most typical way of relating are presented in the scanner to prompt them to recall episodes described in the narrative. The are presented with two control sets of pictures, one in which they are presented with their least typical pattern of relating and recall a narrative of this behaviour observed in others and a control picture set which is relationally neutral. |
