Air Quality Monitoring

From our major research projects in this rapidly growing area, we have developed new technologies for the collection, analysis and interpretation of airborne dust. Dust investigations in nuisance complaints are regularly undertaken with respect to source, and support is given to industry for environmental control programmes.

Our expertise has been developed by the use of:

  • X-Ray Diffraction Analysis
  • Scanning Electron Microscopy
  • X-ray Energy Dispersive Micro-analysis
  • Particle Size Measurements Passive
  • Diffusion Analysis

and through projects on:

  • Dust Generated from Mining and Quarrying
  • Site Specific Airborne Discharges
  • Fingerprinting Particulates for Local Authorities
